LA Times Article Promotes Vista Del Mar Program

Following news stories placed with NBC and the Jewish Journal, Mahan & Nash secured a feature story in the Los Angeles Times on Vista Del Mar's unusual theater program that helps autistic children prepare for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. Bar and Bat Mitzvah ceremonies mark Jewish children's public passage into a new identity as people responsible for their actions and for living in accordance with their faith. Until the creation of Vista's unique program, autistic children, whose identities seem locked away inside of them, could not participate in this important rite of passage. The Los Angeles Times article educated the community at large, and families with autistic children, to the one viable and effective option available to these families.
